Responding to concerns over potential economic sidelining raised by GPS–Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin, Mohamad highlighted Malaysia’s strong backing at international platforms including the UN, OIC, NAM and ASEAN.
He noted that the Middle East conflict has killed more than 60,000 people and injured nearly 150,000, destabilising the region and impacting trade, energy, and Malaysian citizens abroad. Malaysia, he added, continues pursuing diplomacy with Jordan, Egypt, Turkiye and Qatar.
