A fiery motorcycle crash on North-South Highway

PERAI (Aug 29): A motorcyclist was killed after a trailer-lorry and two motorcycles collided on the North-South Highway near Perai. The victim, 28-year-old Syahim Rusman, died at the scene from severe injuries, while the other motorcyclist, aged 37, was rushed to hospital for treatment. The trailer-lorry driver escaped unharmed. Authorities said the crash also caused Syahim’s motorcycle to catch fire.

SINGAPORE (Aug 28): A 28-year-old motorcyclist was injured after colliding with a car along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) towards Marina Coastal Expressway. A video posted online showed the rider convulsing on the ground as bystanders assisted. Police confirmed they were alerted at 1.10pm. The motorcyclist was taken conscious to National University Hospital.
