SHAH ALAM – Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Secretary-General Muhammad Faiz Fadzil said the delay in pushing for the URA bill allows space to refine feedback while maintaining the URA’s core goal of strengthening Malay urban ownership without affecting non-Malay rights or Malay Reserve Land. He explained that the Act provides “one-for-one” compensation for residents and urged prioritising young Malays in housing schemes, while criticising opposition parties for politicising the issue through racial sentiments. “For example, an old house worth RM70,000 could be replaced with a new home valued at RM400,000, free of charge,” he said in a Facebook post.
