SHAH ALAM: Former MCA vice-president Ti Lian Ker has cautioned that PAS’ invitation to MCA and MIC risks undermining both parties. He argued that Chinese and Indian voters remain reluctant to accept PAS due to its push for Islamic law, which could erode MCA and MIC’s traditional support base. Ti noted parallels with DAP’s poor 1999 performance, warning the same fate may await MCA and MIC. He urged PAS to adopt moderation, embrace democratic principles, and prioritize social justice over religious conservatism if genuine collaboration within Perikatan Nasional (PN) is sought.
