Viral Claim False: Police Deny Chinese Woman Arrest at Perak Parade

Police have refuted claims that a Chinese woman was arrested after storming the stage toward Sultan Nazrin Shah during Perak’s National Day celebration. Bukit Aman CID director M Kumar clarified the suspect is a 41-year-old Malay woman with prior drug records and a history of psychiatric treatment. She is being investigated under Sections 325 and 511 of the Penal Code. Authorities also warned against spreading false statements, with investigations launched under Section 505(b) and Section 233 of the CMA 1998. Perak PAS Youth chief Hafez Sabri, who misidentified the suspect, has since deleted his Facebook post.
