The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has recorded a statement from Perak PAS Youth Chief and Manjoi assemblyman, Mohd Hafez Sabri, regarding a social media post containing false and racially sensitive claims about an incident linked to Sultan Nazrin Shah.

The August 31 claim, which suggested a Chinese woman was involved, has been confirmed false by Bukit Aman CID Director, M Kumar, who clarified the individual was a local Malay woman with a history of drug use and psychiatric treatment. 

The case is investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. MCMC reminded the public to verify information before sharing online.
