PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has recorded a statement from PAS’s Manjoi assemblyman Hafez Sabri regarding a social media post alleging that a Chinese woman breached security during Perak’s National Day celebration involving Sultan Nazrin Shah. Police clarified the individual was a 41-year-old Malay woman with psychiatric history. MCMC said the racially charged claim was false, dangerous, and could incite tension. The case is investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, carrying fines or jail. Hafez has since deleted and apologised, though DAP Youth lodged police reports against him.
