Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward in Temple Shooting Case

Police have arrested a 55-year-old man after a viral video showed him firing several gunshots into the air during a prayer ceremony at a Hindu temple in Ladang Bukit Badong, Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor. 

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward in Temple Shooting Case

The incident occurred around 11:30 AM on August 31, while devotees were carrying out prayers. Kuala Selangor police received a report at 3:50 PM the same day after the footage circulated on social media. 

Acting on intelligence, police arrested the suspect in Petaling Jaya on September 1. He has been remanded for three days until September 4. The case is being investigated under Section 39 of the Firearms Act 1960.
