The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) has dismissed media reports claiming over 100,000 unsold homes in Malaysia, stressing that the property market remains stable and under control. Based on National Property Information Centre (NAPIC) data, unsold completed houses have steadily declined—from 35,592 units in 2022 to 23,515 in 2025. The ministry is strengthening data accuracy through the “One Data for One Country” initiative under the Housing Integrated Management System (HIMS).

Ahead of Budget 2026, KPKT submitted 13 initiatives, including a Madani Home Ownership Campaign (HOC) 3.0.
