KUCHING – Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has urged Malaysians to draw lessons from the recent protests in Indonesia, stressing the importance of stability in safeguarding national harmony. He warned that when public anger is fueled by misinformation, peaceful demonstrations can spiral into unrest. “Stability and security are vital for managing the nation well. With a strong economy, investors will come and create jobs. The people must stay united,” he said during the Kembara Segulai Sejalai Belia Sarawak 2025 programme. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim earlier expressed ASEAN’s hope that Indonesia’s protests would end soon.
