WASHINGTON, Sept 5 — US President Donald Trump claimed the United States has “lost” India and Russia to China after their leaders, Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin, met Chinese President Xi Jinping at a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianjin. Posting a photo of the trio together, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “Looks like we’ve lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest, China.” The Indian foreign ministry declined to comment, while Moscow and Beijing have yet to respond. Modi’s warming ties with Xi highlight shifting alliances as Trump faces strained US-India relations and deepening Russia-China cooperation. — Reuters
