Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Muhyiddin Yassin said the coalition could win an additional 15 to 22 parliamentary seats in the next general election if it strengthens ties with non-Malay parties and avoids multi-cornered contests. He explained that PN’s projections showed even a 2% to 5% swing in votes could secure the gains, with a 3% shift enough to add up to 22 seats. Muhyiddin admitted PN is often seen as “too Malay-Muslim,” but said the coalition is working to broaden its appeal, highlighting Bersatu’s inclusion of non-Malay members in its associate wing and Supreme Council.
