KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 — About 300 people staged a peaceful protest in Kuala Lumpur against US President Donald Trump’s planned visit for the 47th ASEAN Summit in October. The demonstrators, carrying placards and images of Trump, marched from Jalan Bukit Bintang to the KLCC Twin Towers, urging the government to reject his presence. Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) Malaysia chairman Professor Dr Mohd Nazari Ismail said Trump’s policies showed blatant disregard for Palestinian lives. Former PKR vice president Tian Chua echoed the call, insisting Trump’s pro-Israel stance left no place for him at the summit.
