SEREMBAN, Sept 7 — Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has called on MIC to raise its concerns within Barisan Nasional (BN) meetings instead of airing dissatisfaction publicly. He said speaking outside the coalition’s supreme council could disrupt harmony among BN component parties. Mohamad advised MIC to present its views through the proper forum, which has long served Umno, MCA, and MIC. His remarks follow resolutions by four MIC state liaison committees to withdraw from BN, amid criticism that coalition chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has failed to protect smaller parties from being sidelined.
