KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 — Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has dismissed claims that the coalition is setting up a new executive council alongside its supreme council. Speaking to Malaysia Gazette, he confirmed there was such a proposal but stressed PN cannot have two leadership bodies. “The supreme council remains. So, the question of an executive council does not arise,” he said. His remarks come amid speculation, including claims on social media, that the idea was driven by PAS to restructure PN and position deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin as its figurehead.
