Penang Deputy Chief Minister Jagdeep Singh Deo has urged graduates to remain in the state and pursue careers, particularly in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Speaking to over 200 students at the inaugural Commonwealth of World Chinatowns (CWC) conference, he highlighted Penang’s growing role in the global supply chain due to shifting trade trends. Jagdeep said foreign investments are raising salary scales while the state works on providing affordable housing to retain talent. He reminded students to use technology positively and avoid harmful online practices, stressing Penang’s potential as a hub for innovation and sustainable growth.
