Fifteen government buildings in Segamat sustained minor damage following a series of small earthquakes between August 24 and 30, with repair costs estimated at RM550,500.

Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan said inspections by the Segamat Public Works Department on September 3 covered key facilities, including Segamat Hospital, Bandar Putra Health Clinic, Segamat Community College, schools, the District Kadi Office, and government quarters.
Most damage involved pre-existing cracks worsened by tremors, but all buildings remain structurally safe. Ahmad assured the public that safety was not compromised and urged occupants to report any new issues directly to authorities.
