PETALING JAYA: Police have detained six individuals, including family members of a main suspect, to assist investigations into the discovery of a woman’s body in a vehicle in Simpang Pulai, Perak. Perak police chief Noor Hisam Nordin said an autopsy confirmed the 62-year-old woman died from suffocation. Her body was found in the backseat of a Toyota Avanza. The incident unfolded after police pursued a suspicious vehicle that later stopped near an oil palm plantation. A confrontation occurred between the driver and a policeman before the suspect fled. Investigations continue into the suspect’s relationship with the deceased.
