PETALING JAYA – A DAP leader said Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin is now facing the consequences of his own past political moves, following internal efforts to unseat him. DAP central executive committee member Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali cited the 2020 Sheraton Move, accusing Muhyiddin of betraying Pakatan Harapan allies. He said it was unsurprising that Bersatu members were now collecting signatures and statutory declarations calling for his resignation. Describing the situation as “karma,” Sheikh Umar quoted Quranic verses on divine justice. Muhyiddin faced dissent at Bersatu’s recent assembly, where he was heckled and revealed attempts to remove him were underway.
