PETALING JAYA – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has asked the home ministry to cancel the passport of Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin’s son-in-law, Muhammad Adlan Berhan. Chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed Adlan is currently in a Middle Eastern country with no extradition treaty with Malaysia, complicating efforts to bring him back. Interpol has issued red notices against Adlan and his lawyer, Mansoor Saat, both wanted over alleged irregularities in a foreign worker biometric data project. Adlan and Mansoor left Malaysia in May 2023 but denied fleeing. MACC is also pursuing fresh graft probes linked to MBI, including sand mining concessions.
