KUALA LUMPUR – Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) is seen to have the upper hand in the upcoming Sabah state election, according to a pre-election survey by Ilham Centre.
Executive director Hisomudin Bakar said GRS benefits from its position as the incumbent state government, with access to resources and strong candidate personalities at the constituency level. Voter behavior in Sabah, he noted, places greater emphasis on local candidates rather than national issues.
The survey also found Warisan influential in the east coast, Pakatan Harapan strong in urban areas, while PBS, STAR and KDM retain support in KDMR communities.
