ALOR SETAR – A Penang PAS Youth delegate has accused DAP and Gerakan of “greedily plundering” Malay villages during their rule in the state, claiming Malay and Indian Muslim communities were evicted and sidelined. Speaking at the PAS Youth muktamar, Saiful Rizwan Mahmud alleged that pig farms were allowed in Malay-majority areas, creating anger and “shame” among locals. He warned that complacency could erode PAS’ influence in Penang and urged the party to defend Malay interests. Saiful further linked land issues to cultural erosion, warning that even nasi kandar, a heritage of Indian Muslim traders, could disappear.
