ALOR SETAR – PAS Youth has called on the party to prepare to lead Perikatan Nasional (PN) and nominate a prime ministerial candidate, citing its growing political strength. The motion, tabled by PAS Youth Information Chief Khairul Nadzir Helmi Azhar at the 66th PAS Youth Muktamar, emphasized PAS’s seniority as Malaysia’s oldest party with nearly 74 years of political experience. He said PAS’s track record in governing states, strong grassroots machinery, and consistent Islamic ideology position it as a credible core party within PN. The move aims to boost grassroots confidence and signal PAS’s readiness for national leadership.
