JOHOR BAHRU – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed that the price of RON95 petrol will be reduced to RM1.99 per litre before the end of September, fulfilling the MADANI Government’s pledge to ease the people’s burden. He said the current price of RM2.05 per litre remains significantly lower compared to the unsubsidised market price, which can reach RM2.60. According to Anwar, this move proves the government’s commitment to its promises despite criticism over delays. Speaking at the 27th Reformasi Anniversary Rally in Johor, he also clarified that his frequent overseas visits are official invitations, including the Arab-Islam Emergency Summit in Qatar.
