JOHOR BAHRU – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has dismissed claims that his frequent overseas trips are for leisure, stressing they are official duties carried out at the invitation of world leaders. Speaking at the 27th Reformasi Anniversary Rally in Johor on Saturday, Anwar said his travels reflect Malaysia’s role as an independent nation that must speak up on global issues. “People say I travel a lot — do they think it’s for a holiday? It’s work,” he said. Anwar also revealed he will depart for Doha on Sunday at the invitation of Qatar’s Emir to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Palestine.
