A quarry worker was reported trapped in a rockfall at Ulu Gali, Sungai Ruan, Raub, yesterday.
Raub Police chief Supt Mohd Shahril Abdul Rahman said the victim, Mohammad Fazrul Illahi Ab Rahman, 30, from Tanah Merah, Kelantan, was operating an excavator when falling rocks from a hillside struck him at about 12.50pm. He reportedly tried to escape the machine before being buried.

Three other foreign workers sustained minor injuries and are being treated at Raub Hospital. Search and rescue efforts, involving multiple agencies, resumed this morning after being suspended last night due to safety concerns.
