Three men were arrested in Kuala Lumpur after authorities discovered a tiger carcass in their vehicle, believed to have been illegally poached. The suspects, aged 28 to 49, failed to produce permits for possessing the protected animal, prompting investigation under the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010.

The Federal Reserve Unit (FRU), acting on public tip-offs, conducted the raid in collaboration with Johor PERHILITAN under the Khazanah Integrated Operation. The tiger had sustained six gunshot wounds and snare injuries. Authorities seized the carcass, a vehicle, and four mobile phones valued at RM294,007. Further investigations are underway to determine the full extent of the crime.
