Marzuki Mohamad, former principal private secretary to Muhyiddin Yassin, rebuked PAS Vice President Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor for claiming that PN component parties rely heavily on PAS machinery and funds during elections.
Bersatu helped PAS win
Marzuki asserted that Bersatu bore the bulk of campaign expenses in GE15, enabling PAS to win 43 parliamentary seats—a historic achievement. He emphasized that PN’s election equipment was funded by Bersatu, which also contributed substantial financial support to PAS.
Responding to Sanusi’s remarks at the PAS Muktamar, Marzuki agreed that RM1 million per constituency is a bare minimum for serious campaigns. He urged recognition of Bersatu’s contributions.
