Authorities uncovered 25.9 million sticks of white cigarettes and launched investigations under the Customs Act 1967. In a separate raid near Taiping, over two million white and kretek cigarettes worth RM761,484 were found at a factory.
The total duty involved exceeded RM1.5 million. A local factory owner was arrested, and both cases highlight ongoing efforts to dismantle cigarette smuggling syndicates nationwide.
