Despite the decision from the government to streamline who gets the petrol subsidy, it appears that netizens aren’t too happy with it. Some are remembering the days when you’d have to queue for a period of time to pay for your petrol with cash.
Netizens unhappy with MyKad petrol subsidy
An X user shared his concerns towards the situation, citing what will happen if the internet connection is down while verifying one’s MyKad, or if the verification devices are inactive. However, some state that there hasn’t really been a time where the internet is down throughout a state.
Some suggested that if there are problems at one petrol station, it’s best to go to another. While, most are unhappy with said suggestion by saying there are a number of places in the country with petrol stations that are far apart from each other.
