KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20— Amanah’s international bureau chief Raja Kamarul Bahrin cautioned that former US president Donald Trump’s upcoming visit could fuel dangerous perceptions among Islamic extremists that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is aligned with Washington. He said such views risk creating internal unrest ahead of elections, despite Anwar’s firm pro-Palestine stance.

Raja Kamarul also submitted a memorandum to the US embassy condemning Washington’s complicity in Israel’s strike on Qatar. His warning follows calls from 23 NGOs urging Putrajaya to cancel Trump’s visit, arguing it contradicts Malaysia’s moral position on the Gaza crisis.
