“Oil Kumar” Claims 33 Years of Drinking Engine Oil Without Health Issues

A man from Karnataka, India—nicknamed “Oil Kumar”—has gone viral after claiming he’s consumed only engine oil for the past 33 years. In a video posted by @avalakki_pavalakki, Kumar is seen calmly drinking from a reused bottle, rejecting offers of traditional food.

He allegedly consumes 7–8 litres of engine oil daily, along with tea, and says he’s never needed medical attention. The video has racked up over 3.9 million views, sparking disbelief, jokes, and concern. Medical experts warn that engine oil contains toxic substances like hydrocarbons and heavy metals, and insist such behavior is extremely dangerous and should not be imitated.
