MARA chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has condemned excessive joking as a form of bullying, urging police to prosecute perpetrators to prevent future harm.

His statement follows a viral video showing students at the National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN) in Miri physically forcing a peer against a metal pole while laughing, prompting concern from the Youth and Sports Ministry. Minister Hannah Yeoh confirmed all involved students have begun counselling.

Although the alleged victim denied being bullied, police completed their investigation and classified the case as no further action. Authorities warn against sharing the video and stress the need for discipline.
