KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 — PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad has warned that Umno risks political decline by aligning itself with DAP and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He said Umno, once a dominant force, is now reduced to contesting only 26 seats, allegedly under DAP’s influence. Idris mocked Umno’s past slogan “No DAP, No Anwar,” saying it has now transformed into “Yes DAP, Yes Anwar.”

He stressed that Malay-majority states such as Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis, and Pahang had already rejected Umno in GE15, despite having an Umno prime minister. Idris vowed that PAS and Perikatan Nasional would continue to fight regardless of election timing, declaring their machinery already mobilised for GE16.
