JDT, Bangkok United Brace for High-Stakes ACC Clash at Sultan Ibrahim

ISKANDAR PUTERI – Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Bangkok United are set for a fiery Asean Club Championship (ACC) Group B clash at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium tomorrow.

Bangkok United coach Totchtawan Sripan hailed JDT as among Asia’s strongest teams, citing their quality and experience, including his past encounter with the Southern Tigers in the Asian Champions League two years ago.

JDT head coach Xisco Munoz, meanwhile, urged his players to maintain their winning momentum after an 8-0 demolition of Sabah in the Super League. Munoz admitted Bangkok United could pose a challenge but stressed JDT’s focus and home advantage will be crucial.

The Southern Tigers previously defeated Lion City Sailors 3-1 in their ACC opener.
