Charlie Kirk’s assassination has deeply shaken the conservative movement and triggered mixed shifts in President Donald Trump’s approval ratings. While some polls show a brief uptick, others reflect a sharp decline, with AP-NORC recording a drop to -21 points. 

Mixed Polls: Trump’s Standing Shaking 

Republican support for Trump remains strong, with Atlas Intel showing 92% approval among GOP voters. Trump praised Kirk as a “martyr for American freedom” and blamed the “radical left” for fostering hostility. 

The tragedy has intensified concerns about political violence, especially among younger Republicans, with 61% now saying the country is headed in the wrong direction.
