KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 – Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) views PAS’s proposal for a prime ministerial age cap as a political maneuver aimed at Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. AMK suggested the move subtly rejects Muhyiddin while favoring younger candidates within PAS. He noted the absence of such calls when older leaders, including a 90-year-old prime minister, held office, highlighting its political undertone.
PM Age Limit
While acknowledging age as a factor, Muhammad Kamil stressed that intelligence, fitness, and public understanding matter most. He contextualized PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang’s under-70 suggestion as part of Perikatan Nasional’s internal debates.
