The popular Swedish furniture store, IKEA, is also known for their restaurants and cafes. They have recently received their Halal certification. However, the Malaysian branch has always practiced Halal preparations for their meals for almost 30 years.

Following that, some users are surprised at the fact that the Swedish giant only recently received their Halal cert. They stated the irony that Tengku Zafrul was criticized for allegedly eating at a non-Halal certified establishment.
Others claim that the liberal Malays would not care if an establishment is Halal or not. But, X users responded by saying, just because an establishment doesn’t have a certificate, doesn’t mean they’re not Halal, especially when said establishment follows through the intricate process of a Halal meal.
