KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25 — The founder of the popular Restoran Mohd Chan chain, Datuk Dr Mohd Chan Abdullah, passed away yesterday at Sungai Buloh Hospital, aged 72. His funeral will take place this afternoon at Bukit Kiara 2 Muslim cemetery, following prayers at Masjid At-Taqwa, Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

Mohd Chan, who established the halal Cantonese restaurant chain in 2007, expanded it to 18 outlets across the Klang Valley. Known for dishes such as roasted duck and dim sum, the chain attracted a diverse clientele. APM chief Datuk Aminurrahim Mohamed expressed condolences, praising his contributions and service.
