Selangor FC Secure First ACC Win with 4-2 Triumph Over Tampines Rovers

KELANA JAYA, Sept 25— Selangor FC (SFC) clinched their first win in the ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) with a 4-2 victory over Singapore’s Tampines Rovers at MBPJ Stadium. After back-to-back defeats in the AFC Champions League 2 and Super League, the result eased pressure on head coach Katsuhito Kinoshi. The Red Giants now top Group A with four points, tied with BG Pathum United but ahead on goal difference.

Selangor FC goals

Goals from Faisal Halim, Zack Clough, and Alvin Fortes sealed the win, despite Tampines scoring through Koya Kazama’s penalty and Hide Higashikawa. SFC’s attacking dominance, led by Clough and Moraes, proved decisive. Selangor will next face Cebu away, while Tampines host BG Pathum United on December 3. The victory reignites SFC’s continental campaign.
