KULAI, Sept 25 — A fire at a factory in Senai on September 14 exposed a major drug syndicate with international links. Police discovered the premises was used as a drug lab, seizing Erimin 5, ketamine, methamphetamine, and precursor chemicals weighing over 4,034kg, valued at RM17.77 million.
Drug Syndicate
A 41-year-old transporter was arrested, leading to further raids in Johor Bahru and Desa Idaman. The syndicate, active since February, is believed to produce up to one million Erimin 5 pills daily. Police are now tracking three suspects, including two brothers, under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
