A public university student, 24, was fined RM10,000 by the Sessions Court after pleading guilty to posting an obscene video on his X account last year. Judge Suhaila Haron imposed a four-month jail term in default of payment, which the defendant settled in full.

The offence occurred in Shah Alam and was viewed in Kuala Lumpur. Aidil was charged under Section 233(1)(a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. Prosecutors warned that such content undermines national morality and resilience, while the defence cited remorse and family hardship.
