TOKYO, Sept 26 — Japanese police have arrested a 75-year-old woman for allegedly keeping her daughter’s body in a freezer for two decades. The suspect, identified as Keiko Mori from Ibaraki prefecture, reportedly confessed that the body belonged to her daughter, Makiko, born in 1975.
Japanese Woman in trouble
Police discovered the remains dressed in a T-shirt and underwear, kneeling face-down inside the freezer. Mori told investigators she stored the body to contain the smell in her home. She had been living alone since her husband’s recent death. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. Mori faces charges of abandoning a body.
