MRT Kajang Line Train Breaks Down, Passengers Walk Through Tunnel

Passengers on the MRT Kajang Line were stranded on September 25 when a train broke down inside the tunnel between Muzium Negara and Semantan stations. The train stalled at 12:44pm, and after nearly 40 minutes in stuffy conditions, staff allowed windows to be opened. 

MRT Kajang Line Breakdown 

At 1:30pm, passengers were instructed to walk through the tunnel to board another train. Rapid Rail confirmed a technical fault and activated shuttle services to minimise disruption. Engineering teams restored full service by 1:56pm. 

Police and staff assisted commuters, and RapidKL apologised, pledging continued monitoring to ensure stability.
