UPSI, Amanzholov University Ink MoU to Boost Global Academic Ties

TANJONG MALIM, Sept 27 — Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kazakhstan’s Amanzholov University. This aims to strengthen international academic and research collaboration. UPSI Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Amin Md Taff said the agreement covers dual-degree programmes and student mobility. It also includes joint research and knowledge exchange in fields such as education, TVET, AI, science, and social sciences.

UPSI and global academic ties

Amanzholov University Rector Prof Mukhtar Tolegen described the partnership as a milestone in fostering cross-cultural understanding and creating globally minded graduates. The MoU builds on ties established in 2024 and aims to expand strategic cooperation, impactful publications, and international grants. The ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Malaysia H.E. Bulat Sugurbayev and senior officials from both universities.
