National Unity Fuels Malaysia’s Global Tourism Ambitions, Says Tiong

Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing says Malaysia’s multi-ethnic unity is the foundation for hosting world-class tourism events, including World Tourism Day 2025, the Tourism Conference, and Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

He highlighted inclusive cultural performances as proof of national cohesion. Speaking at the World Tourism Conference in Melaka, Tiong stressed that unity empowers Malaysia to organise globally recognised programmes.

Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh announced Visit Melaka Year 2.0 will launch during 2026 New Year’s Eve celebrations. The state plans vibrant activities to attract more tourists and complement national tourism goals.
