KUALA LUMPUR – PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has urged the government not to invite US President Donald Trump to the upcoming 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur, warning that such a move would be akin to “associating with the devil.”
Hadi accused Trump of backing Israel’s military offensives against Palestinians, vetoing UN Security Council resolutions, and supplying weapons used in Gaza. He also criticised attempts by Trump’s administration to pressure Palestinians with financial incentives for land concessions.
Devil Trump
The Marang MP stressed that Malaysia must remain consistent in defending Palestine and warned that befriending unjust leaders invites divine punishment. PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man also pressed Amanah and Umno to clarify their stance on Trump’s invitation.
