SHAH ALAM: Malaysia has expressed readiness to work with the United States and the international community in supporting peace efforts for Gaza. Wisma Putra, in a statement, emphasized that any plan must comply with international law, the United Nations Charter and related resolutions. Malaysia welcomed President Donald Trump’s comprehensive peace proposal, unveiled on Sept 29 in Washington, as a significant step to end Israel’s war in Gaza.

The government highlighted the importance of ensuring Palestinian protection, accountability for injustices, and addressing humanitarian concerns such as genocide, famine, and destruction. Malaysia also called for unrestricted humanitarian aid delivery, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the safe return of displaced Palestinians, and the rebuilding of Gaza.
