The Finance Ministry has announced that full-time e-hailing drivers will be eligible for the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) petrol subsidy starting October 15. Unlike private applicants, drivers will be processed collectively through e-hailing operators (EHO). In addition, the subsidy will be extended to registered boat owners, even without a valid driving licence, with state agencies such as the Sarawak Rivers Board and Sabah Ports and Harbours Department helping to identify recipients.

The ministry confirmed the monthly subsidy limit of 300 litres per citizen has been renewed as of October 1. Since its phased rollout on September 27, over three million users have benefited, with RM67 million in subsidies channelled. The government said it remains committed to transparency and improvements.
