Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has criticised his former club’s performance following their shock 0-1 Champions League loss to Galatasaray in Istanbul. The defeat came just days after a 1-2 Premier League setback against Crystal Palace, raising doubts about Arne Slot’s ability to keep Liverpool among Europe’s elite.
Carragher Slams Liverpool
Carragher said the team looked chaotic, comparing their play to “basketball, trading attacks without control.” Injuries to key players, including goalkeeper Alisson Becker and forward Hugo Ekitike, have further disrupted the squad’s balance. Carragher urged Slot to quickly find solutions, noting that Liverpool’s expensive summer signings, including Florian Wirtz, have yet to deliver. “This is the moment he must prove himself,” Carragher stressed.
